My friends

In complete accord with the position of my predecessor José Damiani I strongly believe in the importance of the women's movement within our bridge world.

I am very proud to say that accomplishing the IOC policy in this matter the WBF received the congratulations from the IOC Authorities, having now in our organization the women not only involved as players, but also occupying relevant positions as administrators.

I am confident that the website expressly dedicated to the women's activities, plans and programs will be very useful to consolidate even more the development of the women's bridge everywhere in the world, confirming the high standard achieved.

I am very pleased to congratulate my dear friend and colleague Anna Maria Torlontano and the members of her Committee for the excellent job that they have done, are doing and will do for the future, with enthusiasm, passion, dedication and professionalism.

I know you are as fond of bridge as I am, and believe in the future of Women's Bridge. Please read and enjoy these web pages, set up especially for you. They will be updated regularly, so do come and visit us often.

Among the pages you will find the biographies of some of the Top Women Players and Administrators, who were, and are, the STARS of our sport. They really deserve their place on these pages.

Please keep an eye at the Calendar of Women's Events, where you will find all details on the World Bridge Championships and you will be updated on the other women's events, like the World Women's Bridge Festival and on all other events online, like the World Women's Festival Online that is held every year in April.
