Master Points

The World Bridge Federation measures achievement in tournament play through the general concept of Master Points.

  • The WBF Master Points Plan describes how Master Points are awarded at the various tournaments
  • The latest player Classification provides lists of the top Master Points holders, both in the Open and Women's series. Master Points are affected by time (see WBF Master Points Plan). List correct as of 25 Jan 2010.
  • The latest lists of World Grand Masters give the most successful players of all times, in accordance with their Placing Points total. Placing Points are not affected by time (see WBF Master Points Plan). List correct as of 25 Jan 2010.
  • The WBF has a Master Points Committee which initiates changes and determines all other matters arising under the WBF Master Points Plan.
